Around the World in 90 Minutes (5 to 10 years)
Journey with Adventurer Julius Foggius around the world in a workshop inspired by a Jules Verne classic. We'll visit China, America, and England, discover elements about their cultures, and make souvenirs from our trip. This will be a wild ride, using every method of transport we can manage to prove it can be done!

Battle Maps: Scouting Party (9 to 14 years)
The battle has moved beyond the bridge, and now it’s time to explore. Use tabletop terrain techniques to expand your battlefield by building a scouting outpost, tactical terrain, lookout points, and defensive structures ready for the approaching enemy. Once complete, players will test their map with scouting missions, ambush scenarios, and strategic challenges. Perfect for tabletop gamers, creative builders, and anyone ready to take their battle maps to the next level.

Bubble, Bounce and Blow (4 to 7 years)
Balloon games, Bouncing tricks, bubble science, and loads more! Join in the fun as we bounce off the walls, blow up BIG balloons, and explore the possibilities. A surprising number of activities packed into 90 minutes for enquiring minds and active bodies.

Build It Strong! (4 to 7 years)
What makes a building strong enough to stand tall? Come along and discover how shapes can help make structures sturdy and stable. Test, build, and improve your designs using simple materials, teamwork, and plenty of imagination. Combining engineering, creativity, and problem-solving, this workshop is perfect for curious kids who love making things that last!

Canvas & Couture: Fabulous Shoes (10 to 15 years)
From glamorous heels, sporty streetwear to fantasy footwear, this workshop is perfect for young artists who love fashion, design and creative self-expression. Design your footwear then paint up your canvas art piece with a stylish aesthetic.

Care Bear Caravan Cottage (4 to 7 years)
Pack your bags, the Care Bears are heading on holiday! In this cute and crafty workshop, we will create our own miniature Care Bear caravan cottage using a paints, stickers, collage, construction, and more. Make tiny furniture and colourful rugs and decorations as you add style and cosy holiday vibes. This workshop is full of imagination, creativity, and bear-y fun!

* Chocolate, Cocoa & Canvas (6 to 10 years)
Paint and sip with a Wintery vibe. Paint your Winter themed scene step by step using acrylic paints. Relax. Sip your cocoa. Paint some more. Eat your chocolate treats. Add your finishing touches with paint pens. Take your finished artwork home to display.

Crafty Clues: A Minecraft Mystery (5 to 10 years)
Step into the pixelated world of Minecraft and help to solve a hilarious, blocky whodunit! We need a crack squad of mini detectives and Minecraft master sleuths to help crack 'The Case of the Diamond Cake'. We'll mine for clues, collect the evidence, interrogate suspect mobs, and craft the truth. Get your thinking caps and pickaxes ready - it’s mystery time!

Dinosaur Discovery Lab (4 to 7 years)
Step into the lab, and back in time, as we dig into a prehistoric playground of Palaeozoic proportions. We'll do the dinosaur stomp, play stuck in the mud, and become junior palaeontologists who hunt through history. If you want to uncover clues from the distant past and learn how fossils help us piece together ancient life, this this is the roar-some workshop you have been searching for.

Draw Me a Story: Gnomes at Night (5 to 10 years)
Illustration is art with a tale to tell and will appeal to fans of graphic novels. Be inspired by your favourites. Have you ever wondered what adventures gnomes have when you are it’s dark outside? Build your story with pictures as you create your own graphic novel. Learn to use markers and watercolours and make your own small book.

Drawn to Art: The Faraway Tree (6 to 12 years)
A story calls to be told. Visit the Faraway Tree and get ready to draw. Your artwork will build layer by layer. Use of a variety of drawing tools; pens, pencils, markers, charcoal and graphite to build a dimensional artwork suitable for shadow box framing.

Engineering Challenge: Wild Weather (6 to 12 years)
Storms are brewing, winds are rising, and the challenge is on! In this workshop, students will investigate the science behind wild weather events including cyclones, floods, strong winds, and extreme rain. We’ll explore how real engineers use science, technology, and clever design to solve weather-related problems before designing and building engineering solutions to of our own. Will your creation survive the challenge? Come ready to think like an engineer and tackle the power of wild weather head-on!

Forensic Frenzy: Scotland Yard (6 to 10 years)
A mysterious package has arrived at Scotland Yard with no sender, no explanation, and no clues about what might be inside. Is it harmless, valuable, or something far more suspicious? Young detectives will need to use their powers of deduction to examine evidence, analyse clues, crack codes, and piece together the mystery before deciding whether the package should be opened. Through hands-on investigations and problem-solving challenges, participants will work like real forensic investigators to uncover the truth behind the case. Perfect for curious minds who love mysteries, puzzles, and detective work with a touch of suspense and adventure.

From the Outback to Orbit: Mission Mars (6 to 12 years)
Blast off on an epic adventure from the Australian Outback to the surface of Mars! In this workshop, students will investigate the similarities between the Australian outback and the Red Planet, and how this unique landscape could be the basis for training astronauts and engineering solutions for Mars missions. Then we will design and build creative models of Mars landers and habitats. Packed with science, engineering, and imagination, this mission is truly out of this world!

Glass Art Anime (8 to 15 years)
Perfect for fans of Anime and Manga art, this workshop has students draw their character before transferring their artwork onto a glass panel. Explore colour, layering, and painting techniques to create a vibrant Manga-inspired artwork with a cool painted glass effect.

Glow & Snow Winter Magic (4 to 7 years)
Art and craft for those makers who’d like some Winter Magic. With a frosty wintery theme we'll create a snowy artwork that glows under UV light. This workshop will also include open ended activities for those who like to use a wide variety of shiny and sparkly materials.

High Country Art: Wild Horses (8 to 14 years)
Capture the unbridled spirit of the wild Brumbies as they move through the High Country. Learn to draw horses on the move. In this art based workshop draw and paint 3 artworks in soft pastel and charcoal and gouache paint.

Illusion, Science, or Magic? (5 to 10 years)
Do your eyes deceive you? Come along and enter a world where you won't know what to believe. You'll see puzzling pictures, create tantalising brainteasers, watch chemical reactions, and practice slight of hand. Everything explainable to those who know what they are doing. To everyone else there will be much head scratching. What side do you want to be on?

LEGO World Cup Fever (6 to 12 years)
It only comes around every four, but when it does it's worth the wait. This time, we are catching World Cup fever Lego-style! We will build stadiums, live-sites, dressing rooms, ceremonies, and more as our imagination comes to life brick-by-brick. Whether you dream of scoring the winning goal or constructing the ultimate LEGO arena, this workshop is perfect for soccer fans and LEGO builders alike.

Light the Night: Papercut Art (10 to 15 years)
This workshop will give you an introduction to the fascinating art of papercut. Learn to use a professional knife pen designed for cutting as you create an artwork that tells a fabulous tale. Take home a completed 3D lighted artwork. NB This workshop uses sharp tools.

*Lotions & Potions (4 to 7 years)
Mixing and making, watching and waiting. A workshop with a difference where science meets art and craft. See what happens when you mix different materials together. Experiment with things that fizz, things that smell, things that grow, things that squish and change colour. Mixing, messy and making.

Mad for Minecraft (6 to 12 years)
If you are Mad for Minecraft, you'll be stoked with this snapshot. Together, we will bring the virtual into the real world as we see the similarities, discuss the differences, and make some Minecraft madness. Get some sleep, avoid the creepers, and we'll see you soon at workshop spawn.

Miniverse: Polymer Clay Mini Models (6 to 12 years)
Welcome to the Miniverse. Everything is moulded, sculpted or assembled from polymer clay. This fun workshop will introduce you to the possibilities and the techniques and tools to get you started. You could make mini animals, food, cute characters, jewellery or a mini succulent garden. Make 4 mini models during the workshop, then take them home to keep or give away. (Baking at home is required to harden your models)

Pinball Science (8 to 14 years)
Design, build, and play your very own working pinball game! In this hands-on workshop, students will use real tools and materials to create a custom tabletop pinball machine. Along the way, we’ll explore how simple mechanisms, angles, force, and rebounds make pinball games work while encouraging creativity and problem-solving through the build process. Once the construction is complete, students can test, modify, and play their games to see whose design scores the highest. A perfect workshop for makers, tinkerers, and future engineers who love building things that actually work!

Puppy Club Palace Party (4 to 7 years)
Two mischievous puppies have joined the Palace Puppy Club. The Prince and Princess have their first pets and there’s a Winter party to plan with all the puppies invited. Join them and become a Club member. You’ll meet your own little puppy (to name and keep). Design your puppy’s own winter themed outfit and a matching party crown for yourself. Prepare a frosty (pretend) feast to share at this elegant affair. Lots of art and craft in this wonderful winter themed workshop.

Small World Terrarium (9 to 14 years)
Craft your own fully contained small world inside a glass container. Design to your chosen theme. Learn about balance and scale. Build a tiny stone structure. Add moss, rocks and plants. Includes instructions on taking care of your terrarium.

The Trick of the Brick (6 to 12 years)
What happens when LEGO meets magic? Clever builds, hidden tricks, and hands-on creativity! What more could you want? Come along and create LEGO puzzles and discover the secret of LEGO SNOT “magic”. Part engineering, part puzzle-solving, and part magic, this workshop is perfect for curious builders who love to think outside the brick!

Watercolour Birds & Blooms (6 to 12 years)
Do you have a favourite bird or flower? Watercolour is the perfect medium for painting. Capture colour, light, texture and detail as you develop your painting skills using this interesting paint. You will paint multiple artworks with quality watercolours using a variety of brushes.
