Descriptions for December 2025 School Holiday Workshops

* Christmas World Tour! 12 Days, 12 Stops [5 to 10 years]
All aboard the holiday express! In this festive adventure, we’ll travel the world to see how Christmas is celebrated from the North Pole to the beaches of Brazil! Each stop brings new crafts, games, or tasty treats. Christmas lantern parades in the Philippines, dancing to African Christmas beats, and so much more! Pack your imagination, because this holiday journey is packed with laughter, fun facts, and a bit of global magic.

* Gingerbread City [6 to 12 years]
Take a walk through Gingerbread City. Past the Gingerbread sign next to the River and on down the the candy road. Working on a board we’ll create a 2D edible artwork including gingerbread and garden full of yummy lolly treats. Wrap it and take it home to enjoy at Christmas.

* Jingle Bell Blast [6 to 12 years]
Grab your goggles, don your elf hats, and get ready to react with excitement as Christmas cheer meets chemical reactions! Blast, mix, fizz, and pop through festive experiments that sparkle brighter than Rudolph’s nose. Part Santa’s workshop and part mad scientist’s lab, this workshop will be 100% holly-jolly fun.

* Sweet Science: Christmas Edition [6 to 12 years]
Get ready to sugar-coat your science skills in a place where festive fun meets delicious discovery! Junior scientists will mix, melt, and munch through a candy-coated lab where every sweet experiment is a recipe for wonder.

* The Christmas Eve Box [5 to 10 years]
Make a Christmas Eve box full of fun things to do on Christmas Eve. This is a classic art and craft workshop. Decorate your box and make it mysterious. Add things for making, games to play, treats to eat and a story for sharing.

Christmas With Paddington [4 to 7 years]
Paddington Bear has been visiting this Christmas. He loves all things art and craft (and of course marmalade sandwiches). This workshop is classic arty crafty fun with silliness and surprises. Take home a home made gift from Paddington.

Circuit Science: Light up the Night [6 to 12 years]
Come over to the bright side of science as we illuminate young minds in this electrifying workshop for young engineers. We'll spark curiosity, test conductivity, and make circuit science current again. So, grab your goggles, flip the switch and prepare to be shocked by how much fun science can be!

City on the Moon [4 to 7 years]
In the not-too-distant future, humans may actually be setting up a colony in space! So, what are we waiting for? Come along to this workshop that is out of this world. We'll learn about space and what's out there, then we'll construct a city for futuristic lunar living. The countdown has started; will you be a part of the crew?

Drawing Dragons: Wings of Fire [6 to 12 years]
Their stories unfold. These mythical animals are fun to draw. Try lots of ideas and techniques. Step by step, draw dragons twisting and turning as they fly high. Look closely into their eyes. Add colour with paint and a variety of markers.

Elf Engineering [4 to 7 years]
Some Elves check lists and some Elves wrap presents, but what about the Elf Engineers? Come along and find out as we help Santa the Elf Engineering wayt by making some fun contraptions to help with the Christmas rush. Present machines, sleigh loading machines, and more await anyone who can find solutions to tough problems.

Flip the Frame: Enchanted Forest [8 to 14 years]
Imagine a tiny world in a 3D frame. Sprinkle some fairy magic onto a reversed canvas and bring your enchanted forest to life. You’ll find all sorts of fairy folk and amazing animals amongst the trees. This is an art and craft workshop in miniature. There’ll be designing, painting, model making and assembling as we construct the forest layer by layer. Take it home ready for display.

Geology Rocks: Minecraft Minerals [6 to 12 years]
If you have rocks on your mind, then look no further! If you choose to dive into this newly-spawned workshop, you will discover why Minecraft has chosen the pallet of blocks they offer! We'll search for the similarities between the game world and real world, talk of terrain, break-down biomes, and create some curious creations. What are you waiting for? Set your spawn-point and away we go!

Glass Art Anime [8 to 14 years]
For fans of Anime. These artworks are amazing to display. Draw up your character then transfer your design to a glass panel. Choose your colours. This workshop will take you through the process and techniques of painting on glass in a Manga art style.

Happy Quokka Christmas [5 to 10 years]
The adorable Quokka has a reputation as the happiest animal in the world. This joyful workshop will include art and crafts with a Quokka vibe. You’ll paint a Christmassy canvas featuring an adorable Quokka in an Australian Christmas scene.

Jaw-Some Shark Science [5 to 10 years]
Care to dip into some science with a difference? We'll dive into the world of marine life and focus on one of the most fearsome fish, the Shark! How do they move? What do they eat? Where do they live? All this and more in this jaws-one STEAM experience for all.

Light & Shadow: Cyanotype Prints [10 to 15 years]
The cyanotype process uses sunlight to capture a shadow in print, producing a unique beautiful blue image. In this workshop you’ll use the process to print on a variety of surfaces. Print your individual design onto a tote to take with you.

Model Masters: Tiny Treehouse [8 to 14 years]
Budding builders and modelling masterminds, this is the workshop for you. We'll discover the tips, tricks, and techniques hobbyists use to bring miniature worlds to life. Craft your canopy, secure your supports, and put down your roots as we create something tree-mendous!

Paint the World with Lights [6 to 12 years]
A canvas workshop with a difference! You can expect a glow that lights up the world in a magical way. Choose your design from a world of possibilities; maybe Earth from space, maybe favourite city or a special natural place with fireflies. The magic happens when you add LED lights! Take it home to display.

Snow Globe Science [6 to 10 years]
Come along and step into a world where science meets snow! In this hands-on workshop for young scientists, we will create magical snow globes, make snowflakes dance, and bubbles fizz. We will dip into density and lean into liquids to make some cool crafts as it heats up outside.

Summer Nights & Christmas Lights [6 to 12 years]
Paint your own canvas artwork featuring LED lights. There will be a number of themes to choose from. Will you choose a firefly theme, decorated tree or traditional Christmas scene? We’ll use acrylic paints and add a string of LED lights to complete. Take it home to light up the night at your place.

Textile Art: Embroidered Wreath [10 to 15 years]
In this workshop we’ll combine painting and stitching to create a hoop artwork with a Christmas theme. Choose your Christmas colours, paint your wreath, then you’re ready for stitching. Learn some embroidery stitches and how to attach beads and charms. Then your completed artwork is ready for hanging. Suitable for beginners and more experienced stitchers.

The 12 Builds of Christmas [6 to 12 years]
Build up some Christmas cheer with The 12 Builds of Christmas. We'll construct, collaborate, and create a brick-tacular show using a sleigh-load of imagination and a sprinkle of holiday magic. Inspired by the classic carol, each “day” brings a brand-new festive challenge from partridges and pear trees to elves and engines. How will you help us construct our own Christmas chorus?

The Brick Before Christmas [5 to 10 years]
’Twas The Brick Before Christmas, and all through the house, the only creature stirring, was a builder and their mouse.The bricks were all sorted by colour and shape, to be joined together carefully by stud, not by tape. So come and build Christmas cheer like you know you can, this holiday adventure is perfect for every Lego fan!

Unicorn Dreams & Rainbow Beams [4 to 7 years]
Over the rainbow is a secret garden where unicorns like to play. Follow each coloured beam. What will you find? Create your own miniature secret garden, add a little baby unicorn and friends. A making, crafty workshop for those who'd like to take home their own secret garden.

We Wish You A Merry (Mine) Craftness [6 to 12 years]
Craft up some Christmas cheer in this workshop for every Minecraft fan! This hands-on holiday workshop blends the wonderful world of Minecraft with the magic of Christmas. We'll strike a balance between blocks and baubles and keep a watchful eye for any Creepers who would crush our creations. Make sure you get someone to 'Ho, ho, hold your pickaxe', because this workshop is sure keep you going until New year!

Wild Things: Sensory Sculpture [4 to 7 years]
There are the Wild Things waiting to be made. Let's model with clay, build with sticks, stones, bits and bobs. Add some wild eyes and hair and very sharp teeth. Then let the wild rumpus begin. A crafty maker workshop with a bit of silliness.

* Gingerbread House Workshop $70 (Mon 22/12) - Adults [Adults]
Join us for our annual Gingerbread House workshop, a fun evening of Christmas creativity and sugar! In this workshop, we will assemble a gourmet gingerbread house (no cooking required!), then decorate and wrap ready to take home. Will you choose a colour theme, a pattern, a chocolate theme, or another a house style? Bring your ideas with you and get ready to unleash your inner builder and lolly designer. * Gingerbread House Workshop $70 (Tues 23/12) - Teens & Young Adults [Teens + Young Adults (13+)]
In this event we will assemble a gourmet gingerbread house (no cooking required!) and then decorate and wrap ready to take home. Will you choose a colour theme, a pattern, a chocolate theme, a house style? Bring your ideas with you and get ready to unleash your inner builder and lolly designer. * Gingerbread Workshop $70 (Wed 24/12) - Family & Friend Groups [Groups - At least 1 adult per group]
We are excited to see the return of our Gingerbread House Family Workshop. Due to space restrictions, numbers for this workshop will be very limited and groups on a single booking need to be no more than 4 people. If you have more than 4, please book two spots. Each booking will make one Gingerbread house per group.
Cost: $70 per group (up to 4 people per table) which includes everything you need to build, decorate and wrap one Gingerbread house. We recommend this event for families with children aged over 4 years. Please let us know the size of your family group upon booking this workshop.
